Do you want to know how to identify suitable funding schemes for your innovation project? Join our practical workshop on essential skills for securing innovation funding and translating research into real-world impact. Gain a practical understanding of the innovation funding landscape, and learn about various implementation strategies, from startups to collaboration with implementation partners.  

The workshop, led by experts, offers interactive exercises that explain the differences between research and innovation grants. It helps participants to identify value creation, and introduces key concepts such as technology readiness levels (TRLs), business planning, and intellectual property (patents, copyrights, trademarks, etc.).   
 
 
  • Gain an understanding of the fundamentals of innovation funding, including TRLs and implementation routes.  
  • Get the chance to write a convincing value creation section and integrate elements like business planning and IP strategy.  
  • Identify which funding program is most suitable for a specific project.

Early career researchers of all disciplines with an interest in entrepreneurship and innovation.
This workshop is part of the Entrepreneurial Skills series, a collaboration between UZH Graduate Campus and UZH Innovation Hub.  

A certificate of participation will be issued for each workshop. Once four or more certificates have been earned participants may request a certificate for Entrepreneurial Skills issued by the Graduate Campus and Innovation Hub.     

1 ECTS Credit will be awarded (on request) to PhD candidates who have completed four or more workshops of the Entrepreneurial Skills series.
